Guatemalan Tourism Institute, known as Inguat, is taking measures to guarantee the security of both local and international travelers exploring Guatemala.
The organization has declared that should any incidents occur, individuals can contact the toll-free number 1500, which has been designated for prompt assistance as part of the program called tourist assistance.
The national security authorities have just reported that over the course of the year, a grand total of 62,507 tourists have ventured to the Pacaya volcano for the purpose of climbing.
The tourism security division authorities made a statement. They mentioned that these initiatives contribute to the positive impact of tourism in the country.
Inguat offers the following assistance:

- 11 tourist assistance agents
- 15 offices of the tourist security division of the National Civil Police
